Supported languages

Web Captioner uses Google Chrome’s implementation of the Web Speech API to transcribe speech to text. Because of that, any languages or dialects supported by this API are also supported by Web Captioner.

How to change the speech recognition language

Open up Web Captioner's settings menu, click Language, search for your language, and select it.  Now when you start captioning, Web Captioner will recognize speech in that language.

Translation between languages

Web Captioner currently doesn't translate between different languages in real-time. If this is something you would like to see, vote up this feedback submission on translation.
